Our mission is to help people with sickle cell anemia undergoing curative therapy navigate next steps in a world no longer dictated by their disease

Sickle cell patients receiving curative treatments such as gene therapy have often had their education or career interrupted due to a lifetime of severe disease. They may emerge into a world of limited employment opportunities.

The Engraftment Project is dedicated to helping individuals cured of sickle cell disease to achieve their educational and career goals after transformative therapies. Our vision is to provide resources, confidence, and opportunity to build a fulfilling life beyond illness.

We aim to reduce financial barriers to ensure that medical breakthroughs translate into opportunities to thrive beyond treatment—educationally, professionally, and personally.

Patients

We provide need-based scholarships and grants to support recipients in pursuing higher education, vocational training, and continuing education.

Partnerships

We’re excited to work together to ensure a holistic support system for patients with sickle cell anemia undergoing gene therapy.
